Trick or Treating 2019

When does your town host trick or treating? Ours does it the Friday before Halloween. So, we got to go Trick or Treating this past Friday!
This year, Joey picked out his own costume. He wanted to be a ghost since I think September he started talking about it! Even though Joe told me to get a sheet and cut holes in it.. I decided to pick him up this adorable (marshmallow looking) costume from Pottery Barn Kids (sold out). It was only fitting that Charger had to be a ghost buster!

This year, Joey was so into it. He would go up to each house and would say "Twick or Tweat!" and then 'Thank you' after receiving the candy! We went with our best friends the Andes'. Brayden dressed up as Roadster Racer Mickey and was adorable! We only walked around for about an hour before it got real dark (no street lights in our development!) and the boys got tired. It was so much fun though, and I can't wait for the years to come with this boy!

We still one more day to dress up, as Joey's Trunk or Treat is coming up on Thursday! Hope you all had a great weekend and have a spook-tacular Halloween!

Daily Make Up Routine

Since Summer has come and gone, I recently changed up my make up routine for everyday. My freckles aren't as prominent anymore, so I have been wearing a concealer to blend my skin a little more. Here is my daily routine, and maybe- just maybe I will get brave enough to do a tutorial through Insta Stories.

1. Apply Bare Minerals Complexion Stick in Cashew 3.5 to face. I usually put it under my eyes, a few lines on my checks and forehead and then on my nose and under it. I use a foundation brush to blend it into my skin.

2. Apply Tarte Shape Tape to under eyes. I use the Fair-Neutral color. I apply two or three dots under my eyes (a little goes a long way) and then using a beauty blender dab it into my skin. Start under eyes, do eye lids and along my nose to cover any broken capillaries. This works wonder for dark circles and gives you the 'filter' look!

3. To help hold the color, especially on long days, I use Too Faced Setting Powder. Again, a little goes a long way, so I usually take off the lid and sprinkle a little into it. Using a powder brush, dab it onto your face, especially under eyes. I wear glasses while at work, so this helps to keep my makeup from rubbing off on them!

4. I then apply my bronzer to at least fake somewhat of a tan! I use Nars Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in color Seaside with a bronzing brush. Brush it all over face. You can also use this to highlight you nose and cheek bones. But I do not do this daily.

5. Next is blush and shimmer highlighter. For blush I either use the Milani Rose Blush palette or Benefit Dandelion- which smells so good! I apply either with a angled brush to the balls of my cheeks and then pull it up my cheek bone.  Above my cheek bone and down my nose and cupids bow I apply Stila Highlighter in sun kissed. Just to make me look more awake and alive!

6. Lastly I finish with my mascara. I used to have decent eye lashes, until I got lash extensions put on last Fall. I took them off last Spring and they are getting better with the help of Lash Boost but still not 100%. I first prime them with Urban Decay Lash Primer and then lather on from root to tip with Too Faced Better then Sex mascara.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you change your make up routine up per season. Or any tips and tricks for every day wear!

Weekend Recap | October 2019

I'm currently battling a seasonal head cold, but what makes it worse, is because I'm pregnant, I can't take any medicine! But the weekend must go on, because one, it's October. and two, bring on all the fall activities!
Friday we started with our Family Movie Night, and you can read more about it here.
Saturday morning we started the day with heading to the Easton Farmer's Market for a little walking around. Joey enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie while Joe and I had tried the empanda's that everyone was walking around with. They didn't disappoint! When we left, we headed to New Jersey to visit family. First we stopped at Joe's 'Nanny's' house (his mom's mom). Joey loves going over there, because he has so much room to run around outside and it's fenced in. When we left there, we headed to Joe's other grandparents house, Nonna and Pop-Pop's. There we had a late lunch and Joey found every old toy he possibly could to play with. We headed home around 6 and got home for Joey to play a little bit and then settle into bedtime.

Sunday we took a trip to the pumpkin patch! We went to Grim's and were one of the first ones there. During these fall weekends it gets absolutely packed, so we wanted to beat the rush! Joey has so much fun running around (and falling) in the patches. He of course found the biggest pumpkin- 25 pounds- and a bunch of little ones. It was such a fun day seeing the animals, being outside, eating the apple cider donuts!

Our New Tradition | Friday Movie Nights

I remember the Friday's I used to rush home from work to get to Happy Hour in time before the specials were over. Now, I can't wait to get home and put on my comfy pj's and enjoy in our new family tradition of Friday Movie Night. This week was our first one I actually prepared for. Our movie we chose was Moana and to go with the movie I made Hawaiian Ham & Cheese Sliders.

Ingredients:

1 pack of Hawaiian Rolls
About 1 lb of sliced american cheese (cut into fourths)
About 1 lb of sliced ham
1/2 cup melted butter
1 Tbsp Everything But the Bagel Seasoning

Directions:

Slice your rolls and add one slice of ham and one slice (cut into fourths) of cheese. You can add more if you want a hardier sandwich. Mix your melted butter with your seasoning and brush onto the top of the bun. Place in oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and your buns tops are browned.

For dessert Joey picked out pre sliced chocolate chip cookies that we had already in the fridge.

It was the perfect night!
Do you have any traditions on the weekends?

Maternity Clothes Favorites for Petite Working Mama's | Part 2

A few week's ago, I shared some favorites Maternity clothes to wear for petite mama's. You can check it out here! Today, I am sharing some more favorites that I have found and ordered, including the best jeans for those preggo's who LOVE the front tuck style!
1. Jeans | Asos
2. V neck Blouse | H&M
3. Henley | Amazon
4. Navy Skinny Pants | H&M
5. Pencil Skirt | Asos
6. Woven Trousers | Asos
7. Leopard Cardigan | Amazon
8. Faux Leather Leggings | Nordstrom
These jeans in #1 are the best I've found for this reason.. I am a HUGE fan of the front tuck of shirts. I just think it makes an outfit look clean and more put together, however with the bump, I've either been wearing pants with the good ole rubber band trick or with the maternity band. Until I found these jeans! They have the maternity band that goes up over your bump, BUT also has alittle extra material not shown shut to the band that you can tuck your shirts into and still not have the band show! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!
The henley and the leopard cardigan from amazon are both not maternity, but work so well with the bump. And the faux leather spanx work so well under the bump. I plan on wearing them alot with over the knee boots and sweaters, especially during the holiday seasons!

Joey's Toddler Room

When we moved into our home in March, Joey's was one of the first rooms we set up, however, the decorating and organizing took a little longer. When we moved he was still in the crib and we were only thinking about transitioning him to his convertible toddler bed. Fast forward a few months and we found out we were pregnant with baby #2. We debating turning Joey's crib into the toddler bed, or just giving that one to the baby and purchasing a new one. We finally decided the toddler bed would be a waste since he would grow out of it in a few years, and preferred to just invest in a full size bed.  Joey has been in his bed for a few months now and is doing so great, and this past weekend I finally hung up some decorations and organized his stuff. He still in in diapers, so we do still use the changing table that is what will be the babies room, so most of his clothes are in that room.  I tried to keep the making holes in the walls to a minimum, because I intend to move his bed to the center of the room once maybe in the next year or so, when I can take off the toddler rails. But for now, I'm happy with how it turned out though.

You've Been Boo'd | Halloween 2019

Have you heard of Boo-ing your neighbors?? Not booing as in a bad thing, more like 'boo' in ghost! Last year, I did a smaller version of this with my neighbors, however, we were in the old house, and I really didn't talk to them that much. It never carried on, and it ended with me giving out the basket of goodies to them.

This year though, I just love our neighborhood. We are friendly with our neighbors and most of them have small children so it makes it that more fun! We decided to 'boo' three of our neighbors to start the tradition and hopefully they carry it on!

All of the fun Halloween stuff I was able to find in Dollar Spot at Target, including the buckets.
