Fun Four Friday & A Little Makeover!!

Hey dolls!
SOOO have you noticed something a little different around these woods?? Oh ya know just a little MAKE OVER!!!
Thanks to the amazing Brianna over at Sparkle Out Loud who pimped out my Blog! I'm so excited to show you all because she did amazing work! She was super sweet and easy to work with along with being amazingly quick perfecting everything I wanted!! Check out her own blog over at Endlessly Beloved.  Thanks girl!!

Now onto a little Fun Four Friday happenings shall we :o)

1.Joe and I ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Bethlehem earlier in the week. It's kinda hard not to make comparisons from when we were in San Diego.  We ate at a Mexican place while there (I mean how can you not, only being a jump, skip and a hop away from MEXICO!) and I must admit.. our little place will give the San Diego place a run for their money!! Doesn't help that Mexico Lindo carries my favorite hot sauce and we brought a beer that is brewed in San Diego..

2. Red Sky at night.. Sailors Delight.. I've noticed that when I leave work at 5pm now, they skies seem to be lighter! Thank goodness because that means Spring is on its wayy!!

3. With all this talk about Spring, let's just keep it going. Saw this adorable outdoor bar at the Christmas Tree Shops while looking for Valentine's Day decor! With all their gardening supplies out along with spring flowers and decor.. it just makes we want to hibernate until March!!

4.Today I am off to a magical place called New York City. I decided with the Super Bowl in town.. why not take the day and enjoy it! Besides it being bitter cold and frigid, it's a once in a lifetime experience and am getting so excited with all the talk on Twitter about happenings on Super Bowl Blvd!!

How was your week? Are you still stuck in the Polar Vortex like me?

A Girls Guide to The Super Bowl

SO the biggest football game of the year is upon us.. how do you plan on spending it? Most likely, even if you don't like football; you will end up watching the game! Whether it's because your beau is, you like the commercials, or let's face it.. you have to know when to switch to watch the puppy bowl!!

Let's get something straight about this game.. The game is being held at Metlife Stadium- Home of the NY Jets & NY Giants BUT the stadium is located East Rutherford, NJ. That's right NEW JERSEY not NEW YORK.

You also can't forget about your cute outfit you need to chose!
Click picture for where to buy
Check out my post tomorrow for more options!!

By now you have probably already seen the Richard Sherman interview with Erin Andrews after his Championship win..
But some things you should know about Richard Sherman before you judge the book by it's cover, or can bring up to your man during the game when he makes a huge play!
PS Check out this interview given to Sports Illustrated.
- Born in 1988- therefore he is MY age 25.  Give the guy some slack, he made a game winning play and was in the heat of the moment when he gave the interview with Erin Andrews
-He was born and raised in Compton, CA and racked up some major records for both football and track while in High School
-He graduated as Salutatorian, ranking him second in his class.
-He attended Stanford University and started his Freshman year as a wide receiver
-He suffered an injury his Sophomore year and returned as cornerback to finish the season when his team needed him.
-He graduated in 2010 with a Communications major, and returned to being his masters at Stanford.
-Drafted in 2011 5th round to the Seattle Seahawks.
How about them apples??

You may also hear people talking about the Seahawks player that is deaf
This is Derrick Coleman. He is a running back for the Seattle Seahawks.  He also is the first deaf offensive player in the NFL!

I'm sure this commercial will be playing at least once during the game.
If your boy is like mine.. this song is now on every playlist he has! It is kinda catchy though and well Colin Kaepernick is not bad to look at either

But back to the SUPER BOWL.. right..

I'm sure there will be a lot of talk about OMAHA too. Not Omaha, NE.. Peyton Manning's play calling using the word 'Omaha'
peyton
During the Chargers game Peyton Manning called the Omaha Snap count 44 times. So let's turn this into something fun!!
Follow the Rules and play along!!

I hope this helps you enjoy Super Bowl Sunday a little more :o)
xoxo

PS.. check out my post tomorrow for more outfit options to wear to a Super Bowl Party!

Grammy's 2014

Favorite Looks

Whenever you have an awards show, all the looks come out. So instead of showing you my favs and dislikes; I will leave you with just two of the most put together stars I thought from Sunday night!
Taylor Swift looked gorgeous in this Gucci.  She has that natural beauty that she can wear a potatoes sack and look sexy!
Even though I wasn't to much of the plunging neckline on this Pammella Roland dress, I think Miranda Lambert looked stunning and can tell she worked hard for her body!

Best Performances

There were many performaces to chose from.. I mean come on.. it was the Grammy's and all!! You had Ringo Star, Hunter Hays and Taylor Swift blowing up the Twitter scene. Along with a performance from Metallica that wowed the hard rock metal fans. But to me.. I chose these two as my favorite!
I believe this is the same performance given at the MTV Awards (yes/no?) however, I loved it just the same.  Pink shows true talent being able to not only sing but actually PERFORM live on stage. Kuddos!
Let's not even talk about the Grammy's without discussing Queen B and her King! Wow is all I can say!! Beyonce kicked off the show with a silhouette performance of  her on a chair dripping wet singing Drunk in Love   That turned into an appearance by her man Jay-Z and both collaborated. I know I am not the only one that wishes they can get a sneak peek into their home life.  Sexy on stage and laid back and comfy at home (at least that's what I think!!)

Nail Rock Caviar Manicure >> Review

In my January BirchBox I received the Nail Rock, Caviar.  I couldn't wait to try it, since I have been eyeing up the Ciate Brand in Sephora for a while now.  I was hesitant in purchasing this though, because I didn't know how it would last.  I am glad I received the Nail Rock version to sample and share with everyone my findings!

Nothing better then a snowy night to stay in and give myself a little mani!

Apply two coats of the nail polish.  After the second one dip finger nail into the 'caviar'.  Press onto nail and let dry for 15-20 minutes. I immediately knew this was not going to last. Even after letting sit and dry some started to fall off.  I decided to seal mine with Essie Top Coat , thinking this would help hold the caviar on.. but it failed.  Once I started my daily routine even more caviar fell off.

My opinion on this product, is if you are putting on the manicure for a night out and doing it about an hour before this would be perfect. I do not recommend if  you want this to last for more then a day, esp if you are a busy girl like myself!

Super Bowl 48- Snacks

If you know me personally, you already know that my company does a lot of work for New Jersey Transit.  If you know anything about the upcoming big football game coming up called the Super Bowl, then you know it's being held in New Jersey. anddd if you know anything about the Super Bowl this year, the host committee is being VERY strict on tailgating and parking and enforcing that public transportation be taken to and from the stadium aka NEW JERSEY TRANSIT.  So to sum up this short story.. My week's have been crazy!!  But the countdown is on and 10 days remain!!!
It's never to early to start thinking of what your plans will be! Are you hosting a party? Will you be attending a tailgate? Are you going to a bar??  If you are like me and could care less about either team (not bitter or anything)

For me, I'll prolly just stay in and watch the game from home or go to a friends house.. Personally I don't want to be anywhere near the stadium that day (I don't do well in big crowds).

I've been looking into things to make and this is what I've come up with so far..

Pulled Pork Sliders

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Seven Layer Dip

Make your own Bang Bang Shrimp from Bonefish Grill!! This will be amazing as a tailgate snack!
Copy Cat Bang Bang Shrimp

What snacks are you looking into making for the Big Game??

January Birch Box

My January BirchBox is here!
So what did I get in this months package??

Juicy Couture, Viva La Juicy- Even though I have gotten this numerous times in the past, this is my fragrance of choice so I don't mind at all!
Serge Normant, Dry Conditioner- I have never tried a dry conditioner before and am a little excited to try this. I have used a dry shampoo which takes a three day no wash head back to a one day! This however you spray onto you middle length of hair and bottoms to give your hair a more healthier look.
Coastal Scents, Eye Shadow Palette- With a nude and metallic colors this is right up my alley! I tend to wear nude shadow on a daily basis, and try to mix it up a little bit on the weekends!
Nail Rock, Caviar- Just this weekend I purchased a nail hardener from Sephora.  I am trying to get my nails back to a natural state and harder. I'm excited to try this on my natural (non- gel) nail and see what this will turn out like? I've never tried anything like this before to this weekend when I try it, it will be a test for sure!
Burt's Bee's, day lotion- I am a sucker for burt's bee's chap stick so when I opened the box to see this lotion I was so happy! Ive wanted to try the lotion but didn't want to spend the money to purchase a full bottle!

If you are interested in subscribing to BirchBox check it out HERE

Beauty Box // January

The little sea foam box has arrived this month, and it is a good one! Only down fall.. I think one of my bottle opened while being delivered.. but that doesn't stop me in enjoying the products!!
Jergens, Daily Moisturizer- Perfect size to throw into my purse, tote, and gym bag. Especially during these winter months my skin gets so dry.
H2O Plus, Spa Sea Lotus Body Wash- I have received this before in a different box and I love the smell. I actually bought the full size bottle but had left it down our shore house for the winter.
Nubar, Cuticle & Nail Oil- This could not come at a better time.  I've been trying to let my nails grow naturally without getting gel nail polish on, and my cuticles are getting bad. So bad, that some have gotten caught on normal everyday things, and start to bleed. HALLELUJAH!
Swissco, Bath & Shower Exfoliating Gloves- I've personally have never used a glove like this before, and can be honest and say I don't know if I truly will be using this.  I tend to stick to lo-fa's only.  I have a weird thing about textures touching my skin.. Any one else have this issue??
Epic Blend, Hemp Coconut Lip Balm- I go together with lip balm like macs go with cheese.. you get my drift?! I have lip balm everywhere.. car, desk, night stand, coffee table- EVERYWHERE. So when I saw this I imagined where to put it. Well it will stay right on my desk to use during the day. Love the concept of this and smells great!!
EXTRA:
That Awkward Moment, Mirror Compact- This little mirror is so slim and cute.  I put it immediately in my purse.. ya know for times I need to check my teeth.. or the person sitting behind me! :o)

So what did you get this month??

Best & Worst of 2014 Golden Globes

Best Dressed

Favorites for the night included Michelle Dockery, Sophia Vergara and my number one choice Olivia Wilde! Her eyes were gleaming green with the reflection of that dress.  Sophia's simple yet stunning black dress was perfectly accented with that turquoise necklace! Michelle brings back old Hollywood feel with this glitzy glam pick.
Nude show: Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery wore a beige Oscar De La Renta gown to the Golden Globes on Sunday night

Olivia Wilde

Worst Dressed
Um what was Jennifer Lawrence thinking with this.. I saw a picture on Instagram that showed a picture of Ariel from the Little Mermaid when she emerges from the water is just a tarp and rope around her.. pretty accurate! But still over her. Drew Barrymore was gorgeous however, even if she didn't have the baby bump, this dress was not my favorite. I think it was a mixture of the colors and texture. Paula Patton- what's with the ruffle? You could barely walk too! Nice effort but keep trying!

Olivia, Kerry & Drew all were glowing showing off their baby Bumps.  How could they not be this happy.. they all looked gorgeous!!

What were some of your favorite and dislikes??

Dry Bar

I've been seeing this whole new line appear in everywhere from Sephora, to QVC and blowing up blogs I follow.  So what is this new line I speak of?? It's Drybar- their moto? NO cuts. NO color. Just Blowouts!  They have 'bars' located in major cities and also do house calls per appointment & memberships.  Although I have not visited any of their stores yet, I have tried their dry shampoo and it quickly became a favorite!

I've tried numerous dry shampoo's for my hair before. None have satisfied my needs.  One even left me being sent home from work due to a migraine suffered from the smell of it!  The Drybar dry shampoo seems to work very well with my unruly hair
Detox - Dry Shampoo Spray - Drybar
Best part is you can purchase online here or at your local Sephora store.  I am looking forward to
purchasing other products form Drybar such as the Frizz Fighter, Flexible Hold Hairspray, & Treatment Oil
Hot Toddy - The Best Hair Heat Protector and Frizz Fighter - DrybarMoney Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray100 Proof Hair Treatment Oil - Drybar

Also, I would like to try using some of their 'hard items' as their Three Day Bender (curling iron)
The 3-Day Bender Ceramic Rotating Curling Iron
Their Smooth Operator (straightener)
Smooth Operator Ceramic Flat Iron
And their Buttercup dryer
Buttercup - Professional Blow Dryer

However, these are a little higher priced, so I may have to save my little pennies for this purchase!

Did you use any Drybar products yet? If so what did you think of them?
