Target Finds- Spring 2021

The target Spring line is so good right now. It might also be because we have all pretty much been cooped up in our houses for almost a year and are itching to 'breathe fresh air' - no pun intended!!! I know for me, I am just ready for some change so I decided to get some new items for the home and for spring!

I personally purchased all these items and love them. I also just want to say, if you are ever having the urge to change up decor in your home, I highly suggest shopping your home. Sometimes just moving a certain item or taking something out of storage with give you the satisfaction you are looking for. I know how hard times are and some can not afford to purchase new items. But I always shop my home first before getting new items!

1. Weatherded Jug | I actually purchased both sizes of the jug and have them on my kitchen island right now. I have to pull out some faux eucalyptus I have tucked away in storage to see if I like them with it or as is.

2. Quilted Button up Jacket

3. Hurricane Candle Holder  I got two smaller ones and the large for our foyer table and put battery operated candles in them. It gives the perfect light in there every night and love the look of the glass and wood mixed

4. Paper Towel Holder | We had an old silver one that I can't even remember when I purchased. I wanna say we had that since our apartment life which was at least 6 years ago! It was time for a new one, and I love the marble base is heavy that it doesn't move when you pull a paper towel with one hand.

5.  Olive Tree | I still don't have a home for this olive tree, but I knew I had to grab it. The colors are so nice and it would fit perfectly in our home.

6. Striped Long Sleeve Shirt | I am obsessed with all things striped so when I saw this long sleeve shirt I immediately threw it in my cart. The price point of $12 bucks is always good too. Be sure to check out the cartwheel section of the Target app, as there is always good deals going on there.

7. Bunny Waffle Maker  | I ordered this online, since I didn't see it in my store, but I have the mini waffle maker and it is so easy to make waffles for the boys. We use it for cookies, cinnamon buns and Cresant rolls- if you know you know!! I thought the bunny was really cute and plan on using it for even after Easter.

Have you purchased anything from Target? I have my eye on other things, but I don't want to pull the trigger on anything else at the moment!

Sales Lately - Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

It's my favorite sale of the year! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale that is! I love shopping at Nordstrom anyway, especially with free shipping and free returns. The closest store is about an hour if not more away from me, so this makes shopping online that much better! However, sometimes their prices are not my wallets favorites! Last year I got hooked up with some awesome deals, so I knew I would most likely find some this year too. I fortunatly have a Nordstrom card, so I was able to shop early and catch some sales yesterday.

Here is a look at some items I either picked up or still have my eye on!
Is there anything you are hoping is on sale or that you've picked up already?

Tips for Shopping an Antique Mall

Sunday's are made for rest.. and antiquing! Ever since we've been on the search for a house, I've also been on the hunt for antique and vintage furniture. I plan looking for potential items that I can refurbish on my own when the weather gets warmer (ps.. it's sleeting currently and we have about a 1/2 inch of ice). But for ready to use items in our apartment are top on my list right now! Walking into an antique mall can be VERY intimidating.. I mean which way do you start? How do you know you visited everything? What happens if you find something? Well hopefully today I want to try and answer these questions for you and give you some tips!
Disclaimer: I am in no way a professional thrifter I just enjoy it as a hobby. All opinions are my own.

1. Wear comfortable clothes |
most likely the mall will be in a large warehouse and you will do a lot of moving around. Wear sneakers or closed toe shoes, in case anything would fall while searching through shelves and piles. If it is winter, chances are there won't be that much heat in the warehouse, so wear layers you can easily remove.

2. Be prepared to purchase large items |
It's always better to be prepared then to be stranded. If you plan on purchasing large items like furniture, make sure you have the right means of transportation to take it home!

3. Always bring cash
Even though some places have atm's or credit card machines, make sure to take cash with you. It's always a good to have the green paper to try to get prices lower or possibly even not pay taxes.

4. Take pictures of things you like
You don't want to purchase the first thing that catches your eye, but with everything you are looking at you might forget about it! Take pictures of the item, tag and aisle you saw it in.

5. Use a small cross body purse |
The aisles will be small and you may have to get in small places. Last thing you need is for your purse to bump over a display of vintage china. You shouldn't have to carry a lot in your bag, so the smaller the better.

6. If you aren't absolutely sure you want it, leave it
If you are hesitant about buying something, then you should leave it. You will know right away when you find something it's meant to be. Make sure if your purchase is something like furniture, check it out completely before buying it. Remember there are no returns on antiques and everything is sold as is!

Hope this list helps for you next adventure! Good luck on your hunt

Black Friday- More like Black Thursday

Are you out shopping this year? I know a lot of my friends are 'boycotting' since Black Friday sales are starting on Thursday (Thanksgiving) this year.  I must say that I am one of those bustling shoppers out and about today.. I have nothing special in mind I would like to buy, but just enjoy the excitement of it!  Maybe it's because I worked retail for a early stages of my working career but opening on Thursday, does not seem like that HUGE of a deal for me.  But like I said, maybe it's just me.  In my family our Thanksgiving meal and family time typically ends by like 6 or 7 anyway.  I like to go shopping and get the deals!! Anyway here are some places I will be hitting up this Thursday-Friday

Target

Old Navy

Pandora

So are you shopping today?!
