That Weekend We Moved..

So this weekend was definitely one for the books! We moved into our very first home! 

The above picture was taken on Monday morning after we closed on the house. We immediately both had to go to work after the closing, so we really couldn't enjoy it. We hired a professional cleaner and had the rugs washed since the previous owners had two large dogs and Joe is allergic to them. 

I only wanted to change the paint color of two rooms, so on Monday night after work I began taping, covering and spackling the kitchen. After tackling the kitchen, it was onto my office. The color I chose is a little brighter pink then I thought, but it is very cheery and open!

The packing of the bedroom began on Friday. I wanted to save packing the clothes until last minute, because I hate living out of boxes and suit cases.

These boxes are just from the closet clothes I've been wearing Spring/Summer.. Maybe it's time to down size a little??

Thankfully, we had a lot of help moving and finished rather quickly. After all the moving though I was left with boxes upon boxes to go through.

This is a picture Joe took after I had cleared much of the living room of boxes.  We don't have living room furniture yet, so the futon in the corner of the picture and some extra chairs will be the sitting area for now.
