Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas

Cinco de Mayo is upon us! It's a double whammy this year with the Kentucky Derby also falling on the same day!
Whether you are of Mexican decent or not, Cinco de Mayo is always a great day to celebrate. Here is a look at some ideas for your party this year!

A go to, I think for all Cindo de Mayo parties; is definitely tacos. I found these cute yet useful taco holders on amazon and they work so well to hold up your hard shell when creating your taco. I like to be more bland and only put meat, cheese and salsa or hot sauce on my tacos. Boring I know!

Another option for hard shell taco's is making them into a taco salad. This is typically what I do, since without fail, my hard shell always breaks on me and makes a mess! Add in additional lettuce to make more of a 'salad' as well as tomatoes, onions, peppers and guac.

One of my best buys from Trader Joe's is their Island Salsa. It contains mango, pineapple and red jalapenos. I just love it and pair it with my taco's too. It's really good with churizo taco's, chicken as well as regular beef.

No party is complete without the margaritas! You could add sugar or salt to the rim and drink from the glass or pair with a fun straw.
