The Ashley Maria Blog: A Girly Baby Shower

A few weekends ago, I got to spoil my friend Amy with a girly baby shower. She is due in December with her first baby and I of course jumped on the opportunity to host this event for her!
The shower was held at Brookside County Club which her dad is a member of. Due to CoVid restrictions, we had the shower under a tent on the property. We hoped for the best with the weather. Turns out that Saturday morning, the temperature of course started in the low 40's and slowly made its way up to only low 60's- so it was a little chilly! Also the wind was so bad that day, and a lot of the decorations couldn't be used or had to be changed! Either way, I made the best of it, and think it turned out great! Here are some of the highlights of the shower.

Amy loves balloons, so I contracted Events by Balloon Works to put together this amazing balloon display. I grabbed the greenery from Gift Box and added it in.The cupcakes and donuts were from The Buttercups Bake Shoppe. I had originally planned to have the donuts on this donut wall, but with the wind, I couldn't take any chances with it falling over.

Instead of a guest book, I did a headband station. It was a hit!! I purchased the headband kits on amazon. Instead of dealing with a hot glue gun, ahead of time I cut the lengths of the headbands to fit the sizes given and hot glued the ends together. I then glued the felt attachment so that I could have guests just use fabric glue to attach the embellishments on.
