Do you enjoy productive or lazy Sunday's? In our house we prefer a mixture of both. I rather have a busy Saturday full of errands or fall festivities and then spend Sunday straightening up the house followed by football and snacks and a big Italian meal later in the day. Growing up, my grandmother and then my mom would always prepare a big meal on Sunday afternoons. One of my favorite things would be having a charcuterie board as an appetizer.
I'm so happy that I now get to share my love for charcuterie boards with my family. Last Sunday, I cut up one of our favorite wedges of cheese from Parmigiano Reggiano along with another house favorite Speck and Salami! We paired it was some pita crackers and it was the perfect snack to get us through until dinner time.
The best part about this parmigiano reggiano is we loved is as an appetizer, but it is soo good grated ontop of our pasta as well. For rich flavor don't buy pre-grated parmesan, buy a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano! Freshly grate the cheese from the wedge for the most intense flavor.
