Weekend Happenings | July 2018

What.A.Weekend! This weekend we were busy, busy; so the weekend just flew on by! You know by this post that we spent most of our weekend flipping some funnel cakes and fried oreo's at our annual Church Italian festival. But we also snuck in a birthday party, welcoming our littlest, newest friend and a breakfast with my very best friend and her parents! So, let's get down to it!
Saturday. We woke up to the best news that our friends Zack and Cait were in the hospital and their precious son was born at 11:02am!! We can't wait to meet little Brayden Michael! 
Joe made breakfast for him and I. He tried his hand at poached egg with avocado and everything but the bagel seasoning on a toasted bagel flat topped with some hot sauce. It was so good and could have totally devoured another one!  

In the afternoon we headed over to our friend Garrett & Katie's house to celebrate their son Declan's first birthday party! His party was carnival theme, so it was held under a tent with some fun carnival games and things to do for the kids. 

 

Declan received so many fun gifts, however Joey thought they were his since he has alot of the same ones. Keeping him out of them was a real job!

Joey loved the cheese balls, popcorn, and cotton candy the most as you can tell from the pictures.

At night we worked in the funnel cake stand, watched the fireworks and went home to collapse in bed!

Sunday. Joey stayed at my parents house saturday night, so we took Charger and headed up the mountains to my best friends parents house for breakfast. Charger loved playing with Bingo and was such a good boy!

We said our goodbyes to Brenna and her parents and headed to my parents house to pick up joey! We hung out there for a little before heading home. Since we were so busy all week, we played catch up with laundry, cleaning and meal prepping for the week. 

Joe is going to a bachelor party next weekend, and asked me to make these cigar wraps! It was my first time making them, and boy was it a labor of love getting measurements and everything aligned. not my best work, but they will work out just fine!
