December Weekends

There's weekends when all you want to do is stay in bed. Especially when snow is in the forecast, but there is just to much to do and get done. This past weekend was one of them!

On Friday.. after work, Joe and I headed to New Hope, PA for dinner for a friends 30th birthday. We got there early in hopes of browsing all the little cute shops on their Main Street, but to our surprise, only a handful were open. It was a night well spent catching up with friends we don't get to see often and talking about future plans for our annual February trip! We left around 11pm which is so late for me now a days and got home around midnight. I had all hopes to sleep in the next day, but like clockwork, 7am came around real fast.

Saturday morning.. Since we were up, we made our way to get bagels and headed to the Christmas Tree Shops to pick up some more gift bags and boxes. Thank goodness we went early, because as we were leaving (around 10am) the line of cars waiting for spots was ridiculous! We made a quick stop into Old Navy since they were running some awesome sauce sales, but again, the amount of people made it very unpleasant.

We had plans to head to Christkindlemarkt for some walking around and unique gift buying. Again, there were SO MANY PEOPLE and waiting in line for tickets wasn't that much fun! But once we got inside it was so nice walking around and seeing all the unique vendors. The ice sculptor is always one of my favorites to watch. His work is so amazing!

Another favorite of mine was the glass blowing DIY ornaments. Joe wanted me to make one for our tree, but would never be able to stand in front of all those people making one. My anxiety would have been through the roof.. maybe next year!

We finished our Saturday night with dinner with friends in town. We did a little strolling around town and ended up at City Hall by the Nativity Scene and Tree. Perfect photo opportunity!

Sunday.. crept up real fast this weekend. I headed to my parents and we ventured off to a local vet for Pictures with Santa! Charger was not having it though. He squarmed and cried and barked and cried some more. As you can see, I had to get in the picture with him and he still was not that happy of a camper.

Snuggles with Grandma always makes him feel better though..(insert rolling eye emoji)

When we got back to my parents house, he was exhausted, or traumatized from Santa.. either one!

Charger slept the whole way home in his new car seat, which let me tell you, best purchase made! This allows him to still sit next to me without him jumping all over me!

Sunday night was spent baking some new cookie recipes and relaxing.

How was your weekend?
