Dorm Essentials for Back to School

August has arrived like a lion (get it. Lion. Leo. Zodiak signs??) Anyway, even though I have long graduated from college; it still means back to school. I love stopping into my local Wal Mart to see all the great back to school and back to dorm features.
Today I wanted to share with you my top ten picks for moving back into the dorms or somethings you may not think of if moving in for your Freshman year! While your room may be small, some essentials are needed to not only help your daily activities but to give your room some life & color!

-Most dorms have thin very uncomfortable chairs to their desks. Why not get a colorful Chair to do your homework and studies! This is super cheap too!
-My freshman year my dorm has three different wings and only one vacuum for that whole floor.  Needless to say its constantly being used and maybe it's just me, but I have a weird thing about other peoples dirt touching mine. This Vacuum is lightweight and can fit into almost any spot!
-You can never have enough Storage Bins.  Whether you store your books in, odds and ends, or accessories you can't fit in your closet. These will bring lots of character your room! Another good alternative is under bed storage like this chevron one! So cute.
-Just like storage Towels are great to have in multiples.  Most likely you will use the same one for a day or two, but they may start to get musky.  You also don't want to do your laundry every other day (hello cha ching!!) so plenty of towels are key.
-When having friends over, only a certain amount will fit on your bed. Get some extra storage and a seat with this Ottoman. Available in such fun colors!
-The first thing I purchased was a Comforter. I knew I wanted a fun one to spruce up my dull walled room.
-When your closet is not even big enough for you to hide it.. you will need one of these. A Closet Doubler is perfect to double your hanging space!
-Ew can we talk about the floor. Actually I rather not. Get a Shag Rug. Period. You don't want to sprawl out on that filth.
-The mirror I had in my dorm made me look like I was 5'11 and 500lbs. Not a good look! This Mirror would be great when getting ready for the day, and also serve as decor for your dorm.
-Lastly, the most important thing when starting college. Stay healthy! You are new to living with someone and the atmosphere. Make sure to have plenty of Kleenex. Best part of the New Kleenex Expressions in Chevron serves as a decorating accent on your mini fridge, computer desk, or a shelf! Pick up yours today while they still are available!

So my friends, if you are moving into a new dorm or apartment I hope my lists helps! Good Luck and most importantly enjoy every moment.. It goes by WAY to fast!
