Today, I've got another splurge vs steal- except it's more of a DIY. I created this succulent garden last year, and of course completely forgot to show you all how I created it. This year, at Home Goods; I found a smaller version of the shell I had, so I made another one.
Now, since I didn't want to have to deal with the maintenance, I did a faux succulent garden, however, if you want to make one with live plants, you would just layer stone (for drainage), succulents & dirt and then cover with more stone.
To make, line the planter with rocks, and then stick in your succulents however you would like. The one I found from Pottery Barn as a sample was a little too full for me. I like that I can still see the rocks in my planter. I left this one out all winter under our covered patio and it looks great still. We didn't have any blow away either! ha
