Fourth of July DIY Centerpiece

Fourth of July is this weekend! Man has this summer been flying by.. don't you feel like it was just freezing out? Maybe because earlier this week it was only high 70's oh and winter lasted F.O.R.E.V.E.R...

Anyway, do you have any plans for this weekend? We are actually having a small engagement party down our shore house with some close friends on Saturday! I'm super excited to celebrate with these people because a lot of them are in our wedding party! I had all intentions of making an over the top party.. but with so much going on lately, I had to scale back (I'm sure Joe is very happy about that- he just doesn't have the same enthusiasm as me in the party throwing area).

I did get a chance to make these cute yet simple mason jar centerpieces. Best part the were only a few bucks to make!

Supplies:

Small American Flag | Target ($ section) $1.00
Flowers | Hobby Lobby (50% off) $1.00/ea
Mason Jars | Target ($ section) $1.00/ea
Tissue Paper

Directions:

Cut stems to the height you would like with a wire cutter. I judged mine by the height of the flag. Center stems in middle of tissue paper to place in mason jar. This will make the stems lay flat against the bottom and still cover the inside. Stick in the flag. You can also add twine, string or jute rope to the mason jar! So simple yet classy.

Hope everyone has a great Holiday!
