Saturday Morning Coffee | Cold Remedy

It's only the beginning of fall, but I already have my first cold of the season. I wasn't able to stay home and rest, because you know.. life keeps going! So off with my box of aloe tissues, pocket hand sanitizer, and cough drops I went. On Wednesday I had a meeting with a friend/ client about a new business she is starting and wanted some advice.  It turns out she gave me even better advice when she introduced me to a new way to drink tea. I've never been a tea drinker, unless it's a chai latte from Starbucks.. which doesn't really count in my opinion. She told me to make my hot tea of choice and add in a spoonful of honey and sprinkle some cinnamon. I am a believer this helped me feel better!
Cinnamon is a natural blood thinner and so I'm thinking this somehow relates to your sinus's also! (I never said I was a doctor!!)

So this fall and winter season, if you need something to help soothe your throat and open up your congested nose.. I suggest trying some hot tea with cinnamon and honey!
