Weekly Recap January 2022

We had such a good weekend! We didn't have any set plans and sometimes that is the best thing!

Saturday.. started off with my friend Amy coming over to help me with some stuff for the shop. We ordered breakfast for take out and Joe went to pick it up while we had a try on session, and brain stormed.

After Amy left, we transitioned Vinny's bed crib a toddler bed. It was easy, since the front of the crib comes off and the front becomes shorter with an opening for him to get out. Knock on wood- all has been good so far, but I know it's just a matter of time before he realizes he can get out of his room on his own.

At night we got our usual babysitter and made dinner reservations. We had her come over early and went to a brewery for a drink before our reservation. For dinner we tried a place we haven't been to before called Notch Kitchen and Bar. It did not disappoint!  We got home around 10ish. Vinny was already in bed and Joey was barely awake. We put Joey to bed and I went straight to bed as well.. it was way past my bedtime too!

Sunday.. Vinny slept great his first night in his transitioned crib. So that was definitely a plus!  We had a slow morning. We took down the Christmas lights outside and I cleaned my garage bay, in hopes to get my car back into it before the snow that night fell. Unfortunately, I still had a few things in the way, so I still couldn't get it back in.

I wanted to treat Joey to an afternoon just about him, so I brought him to his first movie in a theater. We had so much fun. We saw Sing 2 and even though some parts I could tell her got a little antsy, he sat for most of the movie and LOVED the movie theater popcorn a big boy drinks. On the way home we stopped into target to make some returns and of course browse the toys.. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. It makes me so sad yet gives me so much joy to see the little boy he's becoming!

When we got home, we just relaxed and played with the impending snow storm. My mother in law came over and brought dinner she had made while I set out the boys new  Valentine's Day Coloring Poster . This should have lasted a lot longer then it did, but Vinny kinda just scribbled all over it instead of coloring.. toddlers.. but we still have it out on the floor and they keep going back to it. I also liked that they give you two sets of markers to color with.

We got baths and headed to bed. I decided to start a book that I got prior to the holidays. We were lucky that we had a slow start to our Monday morning due to a few inches of snow. If only every weekend could be as relaxed as this one!
