Hawaii or Bust!

Guys! We had such a good time in Hawaii and I am missing the smells, weather and pineapple already!

Our Honey/Baby-moon started on Sunday, October 23 with a quick stop in San Diego for two nights. One of them included watching the San Diego Chargers play in two different bars (they were away). We had dinner Sunday at a rather new restaurant called Pacific Standard. My brother hooked us up since he knows the executive chef!
I had an amazing Risotto dish and at the end of dinner surprised us with this assortment of desserts!

The next morning we got up early to get our day started. It turned out with was cloudy and very windy with high's of only low 70's. Definitely not expecting that weather! However, I was on a mission to get these Tiramisu pancakes I have been thinking about since our last trip to San Diego! Oh man were they good!

After breakfast, we walked around a little bit and explored the city.

Waiting for the Ferry back from Coronado Island. As you can tell from hair, it was VERY windy on the island that I even had to purchase this awesome crew neck I am wearing!

On Tuesday, October 25 we got on a plane bright and early for another 5.5 hours of flying.  We arrived in Maui so early (6 hour time difference from East Coast and 3 hour time difference from West Coast!) but from the look on our faces we were so excited to arrive!

We got our rental car (a Jeep of course) and headed to our resort! I can't get over how beautiful the land is.

Since our room wasn't ready yet, we decided to grab some lunch and then change into our suits and lay by the pool! First thing first though. A fruity drink (non alcoholic of course!!)

That night we visited the Maui Brewing Company. I enjoyed their ice cold Root Beers while Joe tasted their beers.
For dinner that night we went to a local favorite called Monkeypod's in Wailea.

At a Luau in Lahaina

Friday, we took a helicopter ride. We were suppose to go over a crater, however due to weather we had to go in a different direction. We still got to see some awesome views!

Dinner at Tommy Bahama and some shopping at the Shoppes at Wailea

Joe in the Pacific Ocean!

Getting ready to leave for Oahu

Waiting out the rain

One of the best parts of the trip was definitely our venture to Pearl Harbor.

Dinner at Duke's In Waikikki our last night!

And that my friends was a brief recap of our trip! If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely go back to Maui and stay at the Andaz. Would not go back to Waikikki to stay in the same part. Visiting was nice, but was way to many people since it was the city. But sign me up again for Hawaii!
