Sun Room Makeover | Inspiration

I have mentioned before that we are in the process of updating our sun room that is off of our kitchen. I tried to make a quick fix of just replacing the outside door, however upon doing so, we found out the whole sun room was pretty much in bad shape and would need to be fixed. I guess it is a blessing in a disguise because we are making it into a 3 season room and adding outlets and heat so we could basically use it all year long! So while this construction takes place, I thought I would go ahead and start designing what I would like it to look like!

Here is a before photo..
In the room, you can see there is a god awful carpet that is ripped up, stained and has seen much, much better days. That will get ripped up during the construction and new tile or vinyl tile will be added. Right now I'm looking for the perfect flooring which looks similar to the terracotta tile shown in the inspiration board.

I recently purchased a set of two wicker chairs with cushions and side table at Home Goods that I knew would look perfect in there. I couldn't find a picture online of them but they are Broyhill have are a grayish wicker with Cabana strip cushions. Just perfect!!

Flooring- Spanish Terrcotta Tile

I want to keep things as neutral as possible in there and add color through cushions, pillows and decor. There are windows around the whole room, so I plan on getting custom shades to keep the beating sun out during the day. But love the airiness (is that a word??) of the windows and natural light!

I also plan on making a DIY coffee table with some old shutters from a friend! Lord help me as I'm sure there will be a lot of throwing, possible swearing under my breath and trips to Home Depot!

Can't wait to update you all on the process of our sun room make over!
