The other night I got home from work a little later then normal and decided to make just a salad for dinner. I wanted something sweet for dessert, but not cookies, candy or cake. for some reason I am hoarding 3 cans of pineapples in my pantry and thought about what I could make with them instead of having them plain. I whipped out the frying pan and before I knew it, it came to me.. add some honey and cinnamon. I basically have the easiest recipe for a dessert, snack or just those in between meals!
Ingredients:
1 pineapple (I used 1 can chopped)
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
If using whole pineapple, cut into bites or slices. Grill pineapple pieces on medium heat for about 5-10 minutes. If there is a lot of juice it may take longer for them to brown. While the pineapple is grilling mix you honey and cinnamon. If using raw honey (like I did) put in microwave to soften. add your mixture to your pineapples and remove from heat. Let sit for a few minutes before eating...
They also are delicious cold so you may want to add to the refrigerator!
