Smores Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes this past weekend for a Super Bowl party and they were a hit! So simple to make and they are adorable!


Chocolate Cake Mix
Graham Cracker Crumbs (either boxed crumbs or broken crackers)
Chocolate Chips (optional)


Make your cupcakes as directed on box.  I chose to add mini chocolate chips into my batter to get more of a melted chocolate taste! Bake you cupcakes as directed.

I used normal sized marshmallows, but cut them in half so they would sit better on the cupcake.

When cupcakes are baked, remove from cupcake pans and place on baking sheet.  I do this so if mallow falls off they don't stick to the pans.  Place in oven for 5 minutes while oven is still warm. Note: Some mallows may fall off so keep checking on them, if does happen take fork and place back on! 

After taking out of oven, with a fork smush the mallow down.  Add graham cracker crumbs to the top of marshmallow.

If you want to get REALLY creative you can use a creme brûlée torch on the mallow to toast them.  Or if you are like me and don't own that.. simply use a lighter! If you chose to do this, make sure you light before adding the graham crackers so they don't fly off when you blow out the flame!
